A bunch of us were invited by the Cookifi and FBAB team to experience a house party and how it works along with some revelation on how cookifi works.

How was the experience? Will I hire cookifi anytime? And is it worth it? Keep reading!

“We tend to cook at someone’s home when it’s a special event, like a birthday or anniversary,” Khushal, our chef for the night, told us as he and his apprentice Debasis set up shop  for some lip smacking starters and live pasta counter.

It’s an odd feeling knocking about the house with a complete stranger slaving away in the kitchen – a feeling we could all get quite used to. Also hiring someone to cook dinner in your home might seem particularly decadent, but it’s not as expensive as you think. There are no overheads except your own, and you can drink your own wine, avoiding the regular markup price of a restaurant. It’s still a treat, of course, but we kept reassuring ourselves that we would be getting far better value for money than in a restaurant. And these parties are best when kids are around, as they have more grounds to play and enjoy the food at the same time.

Here is a scenario, as you are enjoying canapés and drinks in the sitting room making conversation, and all the kids are running around enjoying their time, and at the same time finger foods are being served, feels to me like a soiree minus the kids, an urbane experience at a very affordable price, with an added advantage of just one chef and a waitress, so it feels more personal than hiring a catering firm.

Now imagine this. It is 5pm on a Friday, last work day of the year, and you have JUST left work. You went straight to the grocery store to shop for tomorrow’s New Year’s Eve dinner that you are hosting. Why? Because you like to have friends around! Tomorrow is NEW YEARS EVE, you wake up super early and start prepping and cooking. You have dinner with friends at your house, before you go out for drinks. Dinner is almost ready; however, you yourself are not! You barely have enough time to get ready yourself, and you are already exhausted, because of all the prep work and the running around you’ve been doing. Does this sound like you?

No? What about this scenario? You normally eat out on NEW YEARS EVE and this has “you” written all over it: you struggle to make a dinner reservation at your favorite restaurant for NEW YEARS EVE. All booked? Ok, on to choices #2 to infinity. Now you will most probably settle for a mediocre restaurant and your friends will be REALLY unhappy with the food, atmosphere, and not to mention the service on such a busy night. Don’t forget to pad your travel time to the restaurant, it’ll take a while longer to navigate.

Solution? Get your own Private Chef for NEW YEARS EVE’s dinner with Cookifi! The process has never been easier.

Let me assuage your doubts in advance. You’re thinking, why would I get a Private Chef, is it going to be expensive? I assure you that the price will be the same or even cheaper than eating out on NEW YEARS EVE. You will have your food cooked by their amazing chefs, leaving you and your guests happy, satisfied and ready to celebrate the night away. Not to mention that the chefs will bring all the ingredients (say bye to grocery shopping on NEW YEARS EVE), serve, and clean up after themselves!

The new and improved scenario: it’s Friday at 5pm, you leave work, go home and relax and start thinking about the music playlist that you will play during dinner. You set the table in advance and have all the nice plates ready for tomorrow’s dinner. The next morning, you sleep in and wake up relaxed and ready to party the night away with your friends. You look amazing because you had as much time as you needed to get ready! The chef arrives and begins cooking up your custom menu. Your guests start arriving, you enjoy their company and can actually interact with them!  Finally, dinner is served and it’s delicious.

Which scenario do you prefer? How about turning it into reality? Well, with Cookifi everything is possible. Book your Private Chef for NEW YEARS EVE now for a memorable evening and exclusive experience!

Conclusion:

Weather it is a birthday party, or a family get together why fret when you can call a private chef who can cook dinner (lunch/brunch) at your house. It would be as good as dining out at a fine restaurant, but without the arguments over who was going to drive. There would be no need to arrange a babysitter, either. Together they would cook a slap-up dinner in our kitchen, serve it and leave the kitchen spotless. What was not to like?
